…have been great. Inspiring, relaxing, eye-opening, exciting and everything in-between.
I took a week off work with the intention of going away to Barcelona with my girlfriend but decided to take a second week off partly because I had holiday days to use and because I wanted to focus on some writing.
So, over the last two weeks I’ve:
Finish a short story called ONE LESS. It’ll be up for free on the site at some point in the future.
Created business cards.
Added adverts to the site. (SORRY!)
Revised the next Deskhood arc.
Planned my next novel.
Started my next novel.
Planned my next short story.
Revised ‘Walking’ and re-uploaded it for download.
Added four of five ‘Walking’ stories for free here.
Been to Barcelona and visited so many amazing places. Gaudi was on another level.
Turned 25 years old. That one stings.
Went to MCMComicCon and was inspired by the hordes of incredibly creative people there.
This and probably a load more. Now, more than ever, I’m committed to achieving my writing dreams. At ComicCon I met Nick Cook, author of Cloud Riders. I bought a book from him and he signed it, telling me not to give up.
Whilst away I read the entirely of Béte by Adam Roberts. Loved it. Might write a full review of it or I might not. I’ve been toying with the idea of stepping back from book reviews. Is it the place of an author to review books? I don’t know. Anyway, what I will say is Roberts commands spectacular prose and genius ideas. I’m choosing to believe it’s a prequel to Bojack Horseman but that’s just me.
This whole post is a bit of a ramble but it feels nice to write it.
Anyway, here’s a picture from Barcelona.
